Hello and welcome to a short newsletter this week. We have some important news for you.
COMMITTEE CHANGES
As we get ready for the new season, there have been some changes at the committee level.
Tony Julian has stepped down as chairman. Tony’s wife Nina has also stepped down from her role as fixtures secretary with immediate effect. An interim chairperson will be appointed over the coming days. The committee will continue with preparations for the summer fun days and the new football season. Below are the details of the committee.
CLUB SECRETARY - MR JEAN-PAUL HACKETT
TREASURER - MRS DIANE TATT
HEAD COACH - MR MICHAEL DAVIES
ASSISTANT COACH - MRS KATRINA BROWN
FIXTURES / EVENTS SECRETARY - MR TOM WILSON
The committee would like to reassure all of our members that the club continues to be on track for the start of the 2021-2022 season and is in excellent shape as we head into the summer break.
NO TRAINING ON WEDNESDAY 7TH JULY
ALL TRAINING ON WEDNESDAY IS CANCELLED DUE TO THE ENGLAND V DENMARK FOOTBALL MATCH. WE HOPE THAT YOU WILL JOIN US IN WISHING OUR BOYS THE BEST OF LUCK AT WEMBLEY? PLEASE SHARE.
SUMMER BREAK
We want to advise you that we will be taking a break from all training for a month from the 22nd of July until the 21st of August. The gap allows everyone involved at the club a well-deserved rest over the summer period. The pause will give our pitches time to recover and for vital maintenance to be carried out in preparation for the new season.
The extended break will also allow members of the youth section to focus on other sporting commitments, such as cricket and hockey. Of course, some of you will have made plans to get away for a holiday, so we hope they coincide with the club break. Don’t forget; the youth section will be running regular fun days throughout the school holidays, the first of which is later this month. Details of the fun days and how to book can be found below.
SUMMER HOLIDAY FUN DAYS
Every Tuesday throughout the summer holiday, we will be providing football fun days for our younger members. The team at JMcK Soccer Coaching has an action-packed series of days arranged for you.
Our fun days have proven to be very popular with all children who take part in them. We provide the children with a fun, packed day of quality football coaching for boys and girls between the ages of 5 & 12.
Our fun days are suitable for children of all abilities, so there is no need to worry if your child isn’t a football superstar or has even kicked a ball before! We will introduce the children to the basics of soccer without them feeling under pressure to do anything but have fun.
Below you will find an example of the kind of timetable that we use; you will see that your kids will have plenty to do to keep them busy all day.
Please note, children must bring their own packed lunch, snacks, drinks, sun cream and sun hats.
A typical day.

PLEASE NOTE, BOOKINGS ARE ON A FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED BASIS. REGISTRATION FORMS MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE YOUR CHILD CAN TAKE PART IN OUR FUN DAYS. A LINK TO THE BOOKING FORM IS BELOW.
YOUTH MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL
We want to remind parents that the membership subs for youth players are due. You must download the new membership form, complete it and return it to us with your payment as soon as possible. Here’s a link to the membership form.
That about wraps it up for this week. In the next issue, we will tell you more about the fantastic leagues that our teams will be entering and things you can do to help the club with preparations for the new season. Have a great week.
